Revolutionizing Education

Bringing Technology to Classrooms

The tablet generation is here to stay. The children of today are growing up with technology at their fingertips (quite literally), and it is our mission to support the transition of K-12 education to digital and mobile platforms.

Quantilus works with leading companies in the education space to strategize solutions, build software, and architect hardware to support the entire process of education in the classroom – essentially moving the pedagogical workflow from textbook/notebook to a tablet/computer. Our applications are intended to help teachers teach and manage the classroom, and have been rigorously field-tested in multiple school districts around the country.

Our architecture accounts for the varied infrastructure facilities available in schools around the country – we support low-bandwidth and even no-bandwidth scenarios.

Mobile Games and Teaching Aids

Our educational games are designed to address specific standards in the Common Core, and to subtly train young minds for the tough assessments that are an inevitability today. Creative minds in our cubicles are constantly dreaming up fun new ways of teaching the “digital-only” generation, and our only regret is that we just can’t build these fast enough!

We have included some examples of our educational games on this page. Get your kids to try them out.

Our games are educational, interactive, fun and challenging- all at once! From the basic concepts of writing, identification and association, to math and fairly complex geometry, we've covered it all! Try the live demos and see how technology can be used to redefine education.

Dice Game

Roll the dice. Add. Write. It's that simple! Subtly packed into this simple game is our in-house handwriting recognition algorithm. Guaranteed to keep the younger kids hooked to the vivid colors and the simulated black board, this is a great tool to teach kids the correct way to add and write numbers. This tool also subtly introduces kids to the concepts of distribution and probabilities – what numbers do you think will show up most frequently?

Letter Baskets

Association is a fun way of learning. Drag and drop the falling objects into the appropriate letter basket or lose them forever! This tool is designed to augment the child's ability to identify and associate objects with letters. Powered by an intelligent physics engine that simulates the tossing and collision of objects-it gives you a real world experience. Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane are your choices. Sounds like it's child's play? Give the 'Insane' a shot!

Speed Math

Make learning math more fun! Put your addition skills and responsiveness to test with our Speed Math game. Points are awarded when you identify whether a math equation is correct or not. Although there is no penalty for a wrong answer, you get brownie points for your speed. Choose from Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane levels. Think fast, the clock is ticking!

GraphHopper

Ideal for when you have to explain the basic concepts of geometry to a child, this tool helps you achieve the perfection that a free hand drawing never will. Draw and plot line segments, circles, ellipses, sine curves and any polynomial functions. The tool is packed with features such as snap-to-grid, highlighting key-points and co-ordinates, equation display and two color modes. Use the free hand drawing tool to make notes. You can also zoom, move, resize and delete objects. Take the drudgery out of learning Geometry and make it a fun and interactive process. Try the Geo Tool and experience its power yourself!

Educational Tools and Games

A move to digital platforms has opened up the field of educational tools and games. The things we wished we had as kids can now be reality. We build tools to allow students to work effectively and games for them to learn concepts faster. These include:

  • Notebook tools – for creating multi-media papers, assignments. Features include drawing, typing, adding videos, pictures, linked documents, etc.
  • Collaboration tools – for students to work simultaneously on tasks, or to share tasks and papers within groups.
  • Presentation tools – for teachers and students to present or project their work to the others in the classroom.
  • Math Games – a variety of 2D and 3D games across all grades, pedagogically vetted by teachers.
  • ELA Games – games and tools across grades, allowing students to annotate books, create their own books, and write better.

Assessments

Our approach to assessments is to provide the most comprehensive analytics and reporting tools possible to teachers, administrators and regulators. Our tools support both PARCC and Smarter Balanced assessments, and integrate with IIS systems. But where we really stand out is our ability to dive into the data captured through the continual use of the tools and applications, combine it with the assessment data, and provide a complete picture of the progress of an individual.

Imagine click-through analysis of websites – it offers companies a picture of user behavior, enabling them to make changes to their sites to keep users longer. Our analysis focuses on the behavior of users on the educational applications and tools, giving educators a better understanding of the efficacy of content, so ineffective sections can be revised. This will lead to continuous improvement of the content, as proposed by the data.

LMS, SMS/SIS Integration

Quantilus educational products integrate with a number of Learning Management Systems, including OpenClass, LearningStudio, Blackboard, Sakai, Moodle, etc.

Our solutions also integrate with a number of SMS/SIS systems, allowing for centralized authentication, data collection and reporting.
